The zine serves as an “extension” of the exhibition and features 32 pictures taken in documentary style.

The photos were taken by me in Ukraine, between 2019 - 2021. The idea is to show my country as it was, before the cities that you will see in the pictures were bombed.

She is leaning her head onto his shoulder. Her brother? Husband or a friend? A total stranger? 

Thousands of total strangers in Kyiv had to sleep in the metro during the heavy battles in March, when the Russian forces were very close. The trains were parked at the stations and it is likely that someone slept in the same spot as her.
